Hooker Furniture Corporation, a designer, marketer and importer of case goods, leather furniture and fabric-upholstered furniture reports that it has partnered with top 15 bedding manufacturer, Kingsdown, to enhance its customers’ shopping experiences by offering a full-service merchandising solution that provides the convenience of purchasing bedroom furniture and mattresses from one source.

Shipped directly from Hooker Furniture in Martinsville, the exclusively designed mattress collection – Hooker Furniture by Kingsdown – features step-up models in 11-, 13- and 15-inch profiles with firm and plush options on the 15-inch model. Classically styled and handcrafted using the finest natural materials, the mattresses include thick layers of soft, breathable cotton and wool that wick away moisture and regulate body temperature, while resilient latex and individually wrapped coils provide pressure relief and body contouring support. The silhouettes are finished with elegant Belgian damask covers that are hand-tufted and woven with silk for a luxurious night’s sleep.

“With our shared commitment to luxury, craftsmanship and quality, joining forces with Kingsdown was a natural fit,” said Steve Lush, president of Hooker case goods. “Both of our companies share a long history of quality and longevity, two adjectives that not only describe our companies, but also the products that we offer.”

Jeremy Hoff, president of Hooker upholstery, manages the company’s Nest Theory custom upholstered bed collection that the mattress program was merchandised with at the recent Fall High Point Market. “We’ve received great feedback from our interior design sales channel as well as our smaller, independent retail partners,” he said. “Because the mattresses ship directly from us, complete with other furniture items in their orders, the program provides both shipping and merchandising conveniences.”

“We are thrilled about our partnership,” said Frank Hood, president and CEO of Kingsdown. “We know a good night’s sleep is important and this partnership with Hooker Furniture takes it one step further when it comes to helping our customers create a relaxing, comfortable bedroom.

“Our retailers will benefit from this simple add-on sale by using the product placement on Hooker bedrooms already on retail floors, leading to increased profits. And, because it is a simple program featuring step-up good, better and best models, it’s easy for our customers to make their purchase decisions,” he added.
